This wireless sight survey is necessary in order to determine if Little Apple Technologies is able to provide Wireless Internet Service to you at your home or office. During the sight survey a Little Apple Technologies engineer will set up a portable antenna and measure the signal strength from the closest WPOPs (Wireless Points of Presence) to your home or office. Based on that signal strength, we'll determine whether we will be able to provide Wireless Internet Access to you.

Once line of sight is determined, a standard dish is installed on your house and positioned to receive the best signal possible from one of our base stations. The signals are transmitted at a high frequency using 128 bit DES encryption. A CAT5e cable sends the data into the Ethernet card in your computer or router. The installation process takes a little over an hour to complete and you are ready to use your High Speed Internet Access!

Little Apple Technologies has the following minimum requirements : Pentium3 processor 500 MHz or higher PC, Microsoft Windows XP/2000 or MAC OS 9 or higher, 256 MB of RAM or higher, 1 GB of free disk space or higher and an available PCI slot.
